Song assessment
Sweet Adelines International (SA) actively rejects any song with racist lyrics, messages, or history, and declare that these songs are unacceptable for perfomance. A Song Assessment Tool has been created to rate all music as "Admissible" or "Inadmissible". All song that are sung in an SA contest must have received an "Admissible" rating prior to performance. Admissibility can be achived in one of two ways:
- Checking the Song Evaluation Database; many songs have already been assessed
- Submitting a new song through the Song Assessment Tool
This must be done prior to registration to the competition.
