Welcome to 2026 – A New Year of Harmony and Possibilities

A brand‑new year is here, and the excitement in Nordic Light Region #32 is already buzzing. We step into 2026 with renewed energy, new goals, and a fresh digital home - our new website, created to better connect, inspire, and support our amazing community.

This year begins with something truly special: our Joint Convention in Manchester, where singers from across regions will gather to celebrate music, friendship, and world‑class barbershop. It’s the perfect moment to feel the power of our community and the pride of belonging to Nordic Light Region.

Here’s to a year filled with harmony, learning, and unforgettable experiences.

Five Members from Our Region Engaged at the International Level!

We are very proud to present these five top-notch ladies who hold roles at the international level and contribute to several committees within Sweet Adelines International

 

Let’s start with someone new —Mari Pettersson. Well, she’s not exactly a newcomer, having served as a member of the International Faculty for several years. But now, she has taken on a new role as part of the Editorial Review Board—fantastic!!!
This committee reviews editorial and advertising material submitted for publication in The Pitch Pipe and The Quarter Note. Mari is the director of Harmony Heights and has held several positions within the Nordic Light Region’s regional management team.

 

Our second newcomer to the scene, Annika Christensen, is dedication personified—a true powerhouse in every step she takes. Like Mari she is not exactly a newcomer since she joined the Membership Retention Committee last year.
However, she has now taken on a new role as Chair of the committee. This committee manages a program of member retention efforts, for example the ongoing Mission:Retention campaign. 
Annika is the director of Key Town Harmony and has held several positions within our Regional Management Team. In addition to the international engagement she serves as the Education Coordinator for our region. Yes, she is a powerhouse!


We also have the oh-so-talented Anna Rosenberg Adlerstam who has not only completed the rigorous training required to become a certified judge in the Visual Communication category but also serves as the International Judge Specialist for that category.
Anna is one of the directors of Pearls of the Sound. She has contributed to our region in many ways, for example as part of the regional management team, where she held the role of Education Coordinator. 
 

Annika Dellås,—this amazing woman is deeply committed to our organization and its continued development. For several years, she has served on the International Board of Directors (IBOD), the governing body of Sweet Adelines International.
She now also sits on the Executive Committee, where she holds the position of Treasurer. In addition, she serves as Chair of both the Finance Committee and the Worldwide Expansion Committee.
The Worldwide Expansion Committee supports areas and chapters that are members of Sweet Adelines International but are not yet part of an established region. Like Mari and Annika, she previously served for many years on our Regional Management Team.

 

Last but certainly not least, we have our fabulous International Master Faculty member, Britt-Heléne Bonnedahl, who shares the barbershop glow wherever she goes with her incredible knowledge, experience, and charisma.
She travels throughout our organization, coaching choruses and quartets eager to grow and develop. We are so proud and grateful to have you—our inspiration and a truly warm-hearted woman.
